Astrid inherited the family business in 2006 after her father was tragically killed during an internal conflict in Colombia. Alongside her sister, Astrid now runs the family’s ethically managed and sustainable coffee farm. In 2015, Astrid won the renowned “Cup of Excellence” competition, an accolade that earned her the reputation as one of the most respected and innovative coffee farmers in the industry.
Astrid’s farm, Finca Buena Vista is located in the southern part of Tolima, in the Planadas, Municipality of San Miguel. Finca Buena Vista is bordered by the State of Huila and the beautiful Nevado de Huila National Parque which creates exceptional conditions for the best washed arabica coffees.
