Jaen, Cajamarca is located in the Northern highlands of Peru near the Southern border of Ecuador and the Andes Mountains. With moderate to warm temperatures year-round and periods of heavy rainfall, this region is ideal for coffee growing and is gaining a reputation for producing excellent specialty coffee.
This Fair-Trade Organic (FTO) coffee is from one of Peru’s largest farming cooperatives CENFROCAFE, an organization which supports over 2,000 coffee-growing families by offering agricultural and financial resources, as well as encouraging producers to learn coffee roasting, increasing their exposure to the specialty coffee market.
Sourced from 400 smallholder farms in the Jaen Province, this coffee consists of Caturra, Typica, Catimor, Mundo Novo, and Pache varieties which are grown between 1650-1800 masl.
The result is a rich, sweet, and fruity cup.
Brew Method: Espresso, Filter, French Press
