Alex McCormick is the Director of Global Artistry Development for Hourglass Cosmetics, and is responsible for our Global Artistry programming. In her role, Alex brings the voice of Hourglass artistry to our learners, clients, press, and influencers. She holds a dynamic position that oversees both artistry education content development and brand ambassador-level activations.
Alex has over 15 years of experience in the beauty industry, working with celebrity clients, as well as on live TV for QVC in Europe, the UK, and the US. With extensive experience in beauty PR, marketing, sales, and education, Alex has also hasled teams backstage at fashion shows, created looks for brand photoshoots and training videos, and facilitated artistry workshops.
Most recently, Alex has worked as an independent makeup artist with high-profile clients and celebrities.
Before pursuing a career in the beauty industry, Alex was a professional ballerina and credits her ballet career for her strong work ethic and love of makeup. Originally from the Gold Coast,Australia, she has lived and worked in New Zealand, Asia, and Europe before calling the US home.
