High Altitude, High Standards: Common Room in Aspen

High Altitude, High Standards: Common Room in Aspen - Common Room Roasters
When we started Common Room Roasters, the goal was simple: do things properly, care about the details, and build something that lasts. Over the years, this pursuit has taken us from the roastery floor to some pretty incredible spaces across the country. This winter, we traded the coastal industrial palette of Southern California for the snow-capped peaks of Aspen and Snowmass.

It wasn't just about the coffee; it was about bringing Common Room to an environment that demands excellence at every turn. From first light on the mountain to the last call at the lounge, our coffee became a foundational part of the winter ritual.

The Morning Ritual: The Clubhouse Snowmass

If you found yourself at the Viewline Resort Snowmass this season, you likely stepped into The Clubhouse. It's a curated mountain concept store where fashion meets lifestyle - a space defined by curated ski style, art, and culture.

We were thrilled to host a Common Room pop-up café right in the heart of the action. In a space featuring iconic brands like Moncler, Bogner, Fusalp, and Aztech Mountain, we knew the coffee had to match the surroundings. Whether it was a quick espresso before the first lift or a slow moment browsing the latest collections, we made sure the coffee was intentional, character-driven, and as distinctive as the space itself.

Elevated Dining: The Flower Shop

The partnership at the Viewline Resort extended into the dining room at The Flower Shop. Originally a well-regarded fixture of the NYC restaurant scene, The Flower Shop brought its unique mix of nostalgia and elevated hospitality to Snowmass.

Serving our coffee here was a natural fit. As a brand that prioritizes more than just "good coffee," we provided a program that complemented their reputation for quality. From the first pour of the morning to the final note of a remarkable meal, we ensured the coffee experience was as flawless as the environment.

Evening Standards: The Snow Lodge at St. Regis

As the sun dipped behind the peaks and the après-ski energy took over, the ritual shifted. At The Snow Lodge, located inside the prestigious St. Regis Aspen, our coffee took on a different but equally important role.

The Snow Lodge is the winter sibling to Montauk's legendary The Surf Lodge. In high-volume, high-expectation environments like these, our coffee is chosen because it is built to perform. Our bold yet balanced blends fueled the entire espresso program, becoming the foundational ingredient for the mountain's best espresso martinis.

Whether we are training baristas or supplying a world-class hotel group, the objective remains the same: excellent coffee you can rely on, because at the end of the day, a cocktail is only as good as its ingredients, and great coffee doesn't happen by accident.

Sharing our coffee with the Aspen community this winter was a reminder of why we do what we do. It's about the spaces we build, the people we work with, and the moments that make it matter. From the morning recharge at Snowmass to the late-night sets at the St. Regis, we were proud to be the companion for every track and every last call.

Thanks to our wonderful hosts, and to everyone who joined us for a coffee at The Clubhouse, The Flower Shop, or a drink at The Snow Lodge, thanks for being part of it.
