Born and raised in Newport Beach, began surfing every day at 9 years old and was sponsored at the age of 12. Pat appeared in the seminal Volcom film, Alive We Ride, with a moniker of Punker Pat, a nickname which has stuck for over 25 years. Growing up, most of his time was spent at the beach or riding a bike around Westside Costa Mesa hitting all the action sports brand’s skate parks.
Pat hasn't gone too far, he's a resident at our Westside CRR HQ coffee shop, usually drinking a Macnut Cap. He's also started a boutique brand, WESTERN HYDRODYNAMIC RESEARCH, making heirloom products for in and around water. Check out their website whr.institute or on the gram @whr @punkerpat
