Yabitu Koba is a high-altitude village located in the mountainous Yabitu Haro Lebetu Kebele. Coffee production here is centered around the villages of Yabitu Haro Lebeto and Danse Mormora, where the elevation and growing conditions are particularly well suited to coffee.
Farming has long been part of life in this region, with producers traditionally growing crops including legumes, oats and barley. Today, many also grow maize and intercrop false banana alongside their coffee trees, creating diverse smallholder farms.
Once harvested, coffee from Yabitu Koba is delivered to the Gogogu Washing Station for processing. Grown high in Ethiopia’s mountains and shaped by generations of agricultural knowledge, this lot is a distinctive expression of its origin.
